There are lots of ways to make money with an online business. You don’t need to sink your life’s savings into it either--just keep these 6 steps in mind when you create it and you will have the best online business possible.
Step 1: Keep Your Current Job
Don’t say “take this job and shove it” just yet--you will need an income to support yourself and your fledgling business, even if you are freelancing in your current area of expertise.
Step 2: Handling Products
If you are selling a product, see if you can take the orders and have them shipped from the manufacturer directly--that way you don’t have to store inventory. The best online business is streamlined and simple.
Step 3. Advertise for Free
There is a lot of opportunity for free and cheap advertisement our there. At first you can blog your site and post in forums (just make sure it’s allowed), then move on to social bookmarking and social networking sites. MySpace is a great advertising tool.
Step 4: Ramp Up Advertising
If you have started your business because you’re out of work, then you may need to ramp up your advertising quickly. Once you know you can handle a larger volume of work, try other advertising like PPC (pay per click) and the online press release sites.
Step 5: Join an Auction Site
Try joining Ebay or another auction site--although it won’t make you rich, auction selling is one of the best online business tools you can have.
